Terms of use

Read BatchLadle’s scope, calculation limits, local-data responsibilities, and source-use information before relying on a result.

Editorially reviewed October 29, 2026

These terms describe the intended use of BatchLadle’s browser tools and published reference content. Use the tools to inspect quantities and calculations, and review the underlying recipe and assumptions before relying on an output.

What the tools provide

BatchLadle provides ingredient conversion, recipe scaling, baker’s percentages, pan comparisons, local recipe storage, and related reading and export features. It does not supply a professional cooking assessment or guarantee a recipe outcome.

A serving factor changes supported quantities. A pan ratio describes a geometric model. An ingredient mass–volume conversion depends on its selected reference. None of these calculations establishes a cooking time, a safe fill level, an allergen assessment, or the suitability of a substitution.

Review your inputs and results

You are responsible for checking the ingredient identity, preparation state, unit definition, original quantity, and intended target. Review parsed ingredient text before applying it. Keep unresolved instructions visible when their meaning cannot be established.

Published ingredient references are approximate and may differ by method, product, or preparation. The displayed precision is not a promise of equivalent measurement accuracy. Use equipment and practical judgment appropriate to your task.

Keep copies of important work

Saved recipes are stored locally in the browser. They can be lost if site data is cleared, a browser profile changes, storage is unavailable, or the device is lost. Download a JSON backup when you need a restorable copy.

Before importing, deleting, printing, or sharing data, inspect what the action includes. The application does not provide a cloud account, a permanent archive, or a recovery service for copies that are no longer available.

Use the site and source materials responsibly

Use the tools without attempting to disrupt the site or access information that is not yours. Only paste, store, or share material you have permission to use. A calculation does not transfer rights in the recipe text you supplied.

Source links identify the publishers behind reference facts. Their names and linked materials remain associated with those publishers. Attribution does not imply endorsement, and a link does not grant permission to reproduce an entire source article or database.

Availability and corrections

The application and reference content may change as defects are corrected or sources are reviewed. Older backups may require a compatible version to import. Keep the original backup if an import reports a version error.

No promise of uninterrupted availability or a particular recipe result is made by these tools. If a value looks wrong, keep the original quantity, inspect the reference, and use the Contact page’s correction checklist to prepare a reproducible report.
