BatchLadle’s recipe tools run in your browser. Recipe text, ingredient rows, serving targets, and shopping-list work are processed there. You do not need an account to use the tools.
This notice distinguishes that local recipe work from the requests your browser makes to load the website. A browser-based tool still needs a hosting service to deliver its pages.
Recipe processing
Entering or pasting a recipe starts local processing in the page. The application does not send recipe text to an AI service, a recipe-import service, or a BatchLadle recipe account. Pasting text does not fetch the website it came from.
Local processing does not prevent other software on your device, browser extensions, or people using the same browser profile from accessing information available to them. Use a device and profile appropriate for the recipes and notes you enter.
What is stored in this browser
Valid recipe edits are automatically kept as a working draft in browser storage when that storage is available. Choosing Save recipe separately adds or updates an entry in My recipes. Both can contain the recipe title, original and target quantities, units, selected references and states, preparation details, and notes.
The application stores the shopping list and its check marks locally when you build or edit it. It also stores the selected appearance. Recipe settings such as display mode and measurement system are kept with the draft or saved recipe; they are not a cloud profile.
Temporary export choices, including which type of output is selected and whether checked shopping items are included, use storage for the current browser session. Local recipes belong to this browser profile, not automatically to another device.
Browser storage can be cleared by you or by browser settings. A private session may retain data only for that session, and storage can fail or be removed. Keep a JSON backup of information you want to preserve.
Files you export
JSON backups can contain the structured recipe and its notes. CSV, PDF, and printed output can contain ingredient amounts, titles, sources, and other details selected for export. These files are created through the browser and saved or printed using your chosen destination.
Inspect a file before sharing it. Once you send or upload an exported file elsewhere, that destination’s handling of it is outside this local tool. An export does not by itself create a public recipe page.
Search terms and page addresses
Site search downloads the public search index and matches your query in the browser. Saved recipes are not part of that public index. The application does not send the query to a search provider.
The search form puts your query in the current page address. That address can remain in browser history or appear in a link you copy. Reopening or sharing the address can send the query as part of a request to the site’s host. Avoid putting private recipe details or personal information into search terms.
Website requests and hosting
Cloudflare delivers this website. Loading a page sends ordinary web requests that can include your IP address, requested address, browser information, and request time. Cloudflare may process this information to deliver and protect the site. BatchLadle has no application server that stores recipes, and Worker observability is disabled. This notice does not promise a particular retention period for Cloudflare’s operational records.
The application does not place recipe contents in public page addresses or submit them as part of ordinary page navigation. Keep sensitive information out of any URL or separate message you choose to share.
BatchLadle is the public operating name for this site. For privacy questions, email support@batchladle.site. Messages you choose to send are handled through email; they are separate from the recipe data kept in your browser.
Analytics, advertising, and cookies
Analytics and advertising are disabled in the default application configuration described here. The recipe tools do not require an analytics account or advertising identifiers. Local storage used for recipes and preferences is separate from third-party tracking.
If the operator later enables analytics, advertising, or another third-party service, this notice and the relevant choices need to describe that actual deployment before the service is enabled. A reserved advertising space in a page layout does not establish that an advertising network is active.
Remove or move your data
Deleting an entry from My recipes removes it from the saved collection. It does not automatically clear a separate working draft or an already built shopping list. To remove all locally stored data for this site, use the browser’s site-data controls. Download any backup you want before clearing the data.
Clearing browser data does not remove files you downloaded, printed copies, or copies you shared elsewhere. Manage those in their respective locations. There is no BatchLadle account to close or cloud recipe archive to delete.
Questions and notice changes
Send privacy questions to support@batchladle.site. Include the relevant page and a minimal example when reporting a problem. Avoid sending private recipe contents or personal details that are unnecessary to explain the issue.
This notice should change when the application’s data handling or deployment changes. The content review date identifies this text’s revision; it is not a claim that a hosting configuration or legal requirement has been independently audited.
